Cruise Ship Special  $450.00USD

This fishing trip is available to the people who come to Progreso aboard a cruise ship with Carnival Cruise line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line or any of the other cruise lines coming here.  The trip includes pickup at the Cultural Center,  which is where the free bus will drop you off if you come to Progreso.  The first bus usually arrives there at 8:00 to 8:30AM.  We will take you to the boat which will be ready and waiting for you.

We provide all fishing tackle, bait, ice, etc.  We also provide your choice of breakfast sandwiches, fruit plates, natural fruit drinks of orange, cantaloupe or watermelon juice.  Bottled water, soft drinks and beer are also available.  You can make your drink requests by e-mail when you make your reservations .  We will provide up to a case and a half of assorted drinks.  We will also have the ingredients  to make a nice fresh ceviche to eat onboard from the bottom fish that you catch.

On the fishing, we have shallow water off of Progreso so we will be fishing 30 to 55 feet of water for yellowtail snappers, red groupers, mojarra blancas and other assorted bottom fish.  Trolling we have king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, bonitos and several species of jacks available.

The trolling isn’t as dependable as the bottom fishing.  We usually fish a shipwreck called “Lorena” which was sunk as a fishing reef or assorted rock piles and ledges near the ship channel.   We can also take you swimming near the beach if you so desire.  Snorkeling is also available but the water is murky from November till April due to the cold fronts stirring up the silt.  At the end of the trip, we will take you back to the dock and then to catch the bus back to your ship at the time that you specify.

The cruise ships don’t allow you to take the fish back aboard.   We have a nice beachfront restaurant that can cook your catch for a reasonable price if you like but that will cut into some of your fishing time.   Most guests prefer to stay out fishing as long as they can.

We have a 2 man Mexican crew as required by law here as well as all permits, insurance and safety equipment on board.  Our desire is to give our guests the most enjoyable trip we can every time that we leave the dock.
